Denotation and connotation blog task

 























Denotation: this a water aid ad and has big bold white writing saying "Dig toilets not graves" and has a child in a chair in a blue  shirt

Connotation: The sand wall in the background and the old shirt suggest that this Africa. The old shirt and the bold text That says "Dig toilets Not graves" suggest that he has no toilet or water  also the dirty blue shirt could suggest that he has water but it's dirty.

Analysis: This advert helps us fill sad for the child who has no toilet or water  who is living in  Africa  this helps us show the stereotype that Africa's  living condition.

denotation: there is fist with a tattoo of a car punching a man  a car tattoo on his face.
connotation: the Collison of both  the face and fist could mean there's to many car accidents happening frequently and the punch to the  could mean to many people are becoming injured from these accidents.
Also the word don't  drink and drive is in red which could mean this is  the main issue for car accidents.

Analysis: from this  I can tell the audience were meant  to fill more cautious about car accident's and drink diving .
